A little from many makes a lot
This is nothing new but our tools are so much better now. But Marketing veteran Cindy Gallop and software developer Wendell Davis are not satisfied with howe those tools are prepared for people to use. As the say in this article in Wired: “If you go to the homepage of something like DoSomething.org, or any one of the many [like it], there is an instant yawn factor -– ‘I know this is really good stuff, I should be doing it, but I’m half asleep already.”
Now they have thought to do something about it and aming this webpage: IfWeRantheWorld.com
I have hade the same thoughts for organizations. Like the organization I am in we dont have much money and we have a lot of things that we like to accomplish. Much more than the few employees and volunteers that we have could do.
We have a lot of moore “easy-to-do-work” that we dont have time to do.
Presenting old material for example.
Well if we could present a form where it is easy to do the work then with only 1% of our members we could have over 100 persons participating, doing a little and we could offer more and better services for our members.
If you say: “People dont have time” I answer: if people take 10% of the time they use on Facebook or other social network to create some good value juntos que bien!
I think a lot of organizations should think about that.
